When Ullar saw the visions of the Armoc Vipers, he was pleased. He knew pure power and feocity would not be enough to win the most critical battles. The role they play on Valhalla is the same role they played on Marr: they are the protectors of the Venoc Warlord. Their speed in water and advanced defensive abilities make them well-suited to work on the front lines in any of Ullar's Campaigns.

Behind the Game

Armoc were created because of the Venoc Warlord. Although the Warlord enhances the Venoc, he does not bond with them. And the Warlord's powers become largely useless once the Venoc die off. So the Armoc were added to game to convert the Warlord (and his squad) into a heavy hitting bonding squad, ala the Knights of Weston and Sir Denrick.

Armocs do what the Venocs do not, they bond with the Viper Warlord, however, unlike the Venocs, the Warlord does not boost the Armocs in anyway. They are not Scouts and do not have the Frenzy ability. Stratgey-wise it doesn't make sense to draft a leader that doesn't enhance your squad, so if you draft Armocs and the Warlord, be sure to draft Venocs as well and Elite Onyx , if you can get them. Any other Scouts or units with Frenzy are a good choice, too. Then use the Armocs for exactly what their class suggests: as protectors for your Warlord. Keep them and the Warlord in the rear of your forces until all your Scouts are destroyed. Now the Warlord serves no purpose - as he has no one to enhance - so sended him in with a squad of Armocs as a fast moving, heavy hitting strike force. Because of the Venocs, most people subconsciously think of all Vipers as "weak", but the Venoc Warlord, when backed by his Armocs, can be a force to be reckoned with and will often surprise your foe.
