A lesser leader on the world of Grut, Tornak has earned the respect of allies and enemies alike on the war-torn battlefields of Valhalla. As with all Orc leaders, Tornak is fierce, tricky, unpredictable and mean, never above fighting dirty to win a battle. Tornak's aggressive battlefield tactics never fail to whip his troops into a frenzy and spur them on to even more vicious attacks and even greater violence against their enemies.

Tornak is one of the most used Orc Champions for a reason. He has higher base stats than any of the others, and thus won't fall apart in combat , gives the same bonus as Grimnak for twenty (20) points less, and doesn't have to slow the Blade Gruts down to keep the attack/defence bonus. True, he is a little on the low side of lives, but is a powerhouse for only a hundred (100) points.

Draft Grimnak, three (3) squads of Blade Gruts, three (3) Swog Riders, two (2) squads of Arrow Gruts, and this figure for a 495 point, well bonding army. Just pile all of your order markers on the Blade and Arrow Gruts, take a turn with the champion/beast and then with the Gruts, and you can generally overwhelm your opponent by sheer numbers. The only problem with this army is it takes up twenty-eight (28) spaces, so only use this exact army if you have very large start zones.

You can also use him and the Blade Gruts as a sort of hit-and-run squad. Put order markers on the blade gruts. Rush in with Tornak. Follow up with the gruts. Do some damage. Tornak and a squad of gruts are only one hundred forty (140) points. Keep in mind Tornak has low life and the gruts have low survivability, so have a powerhouse to back them up like a Marro army or a decent pile of Samurai. Maybe Q9 or Brandis Skyhunter just for good measure...
